Brad Pitt was born on December 18, 1963 in Shawnee, Oklahoma, USA. He attended University of Missouri in 1982, majoring in journalism with a focus on advertising, but he moved to Los Angeles two weeks before earning his degree.

In Los Angeles, he took acting lessons from acting coach Roy London. He had his television debut in 1987, landing a 2-episode role in the soap opera Another World.

Through the course of his career, he has received four Academy Award and five Golden Globe Award nominations, winning one Golden Globe for Best Supporting Actor for his work in Twelve Monkeys in 1995.
