Hollywood star Andie MacDowell had her career start in the 1980s. Her debut was in Greystoke: The Legend of Tarzan, Lord of the Apes where she played Jane Porter. She next joined the main cast of St. Elmo’s Fire. It was, however, her role as Ann Bishop Mullany in Sex, Lies, and Videotape that earned her widespread fame. This also got her a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress. Since then Andie has starred in several films of different genres. In the ’90s, she starred in Short Cuts, Four Weddings and a Funeral, Groundhog Day, The End of Violence, and The Muse. She continued her career the following decade, working in movies, television shows, and TV films as well. From 2013 to 2015, she starred as Olivia Lockhart on Cedar Cove. She also starred on the short-lived series Jane by Design.

She may be turning 60 next year, but it seems Andie looks younger than her actual age? Her secret is her healthy lifestyle. For one, she tries her best to eat clean and whole foods most of the time. She opts those with high nutritional value than those with nothing but empty calories. Thus, she generally avoids eating processed foods. With her age, she also knows she needs to be more cautious of what she puts in her body. In an interview, she got candid of her eating habits.

When she’s at home, she admits to doing Ayurvedic Cleanses and eating simple, nutritious foods. She said: “It’s one of my favorite methods of finding peace again after working hard.” She’s also very fond of eating veggies, saying: “Preserving the natural attributes of organically grown vegetables is a great way to nourish my whole body again.” When cooking any spicy meals, she adds it with “a little cucumber and yogurt along with some other digestive spices.”
