Alyson Hannigan

Hollywood star Alyson Hannigan had her career beginnings in the 1980s. She made her television debut as Jessie Harper in the show Free Spirit. Her first movie was in Impure Thoughts. She next appeared in the movie My Stepmother Is an Alie. Her acting career flourished in the ’90s. During this time, she played Willow Rosenberg in Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

She further rose to fame when she starred as Michelle Flaherty in the 1999 film American Pie. She has since reprised her role in the sequels American Pie 2, American Wedding, and American Reunion. She also starred in the films Date Movie and Love, Wedding, Marriage. She also became widely known for her role as Lily Aldrin in the sitcom How I Met Your Mother, which aired on television from 2005 to 2014. More recently, she hosted the show Penn & Teller: Fool Us.

The mother-of-two stays in shape by eating well. She actually used to practice a vegan lifestyle but admitted in an interview that she craved meat during her first pregnancy. She shared: “When I got pregnant with my first child, I was vegan. And when I got pregnant, my body was craving meat so much. I started out slowly with eggs, then cheese, then I was like, “OK, I need a steak!” I had to listen to my body—my cravings were so strong with the first one. When I got a craving for a food, I needed it five minutes ago.”

She also revealed that she never went to being a vegan afterward. She went on to say: “I never got back to being a vegan, but now I’m super healthy. Once Keeva turned a year old, I thought, “I should probably try to lose this baby weight.” It didn’t come off as easily the second time around…so I went to nutritionist and got on a good program that’s been working really well. Of course, it restricts all the things I love. But otherwise, I would just eat bread for every meal—I’m a carb-aholic. That’s what I would eat all the time. But nutritionists don’t like that—they don’t recommend it.”
