Biography:

Aliza Vellani was born on October 30, 1991 in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada to Indian immigrants from East Africa. When she was nine, she began studying dance, singing, and acting. She attended Simon Fraser University where she finished a degree in Theater. In 2007, she made her television debut as Layla Siddiqui in the TV series Little Mosque on the Prairie. She next appeared in the TV movie The Cult.

In the 2010s, she mostly had one-time roles on some TV shows, like iZombie and Mistresses. She next had a 2-episode guest role in The X-Files. Venturing into voice acting, she stars as Ms. Marvel in the animated series Marvel Super Hero Adventures. She then had a recurring role in Mech-X4. At the same time, the actress had performances in the films Kim Possible, The Art of Racing in the Rain, and Operation Christmas Drop. Recently, she starred in the Netflix series, Sweet Tooth.
