Alisha Wainwright was born on July 14, 1989 in Florida, USA. Her first acting role was in the 2008 short film Murder on Her Mind. She pursued acting full-time in the 2010s where she made her first movie role in 2014’s Just Before I Go. She also made one-episode parts in the TV shows Criminal Minds and Married.

She continued making one-time roles in other shows, including Switched at Birth and Major Crimes. She next played Nurse Kelsey in 2 episodes of General Hospital. Her first starring role on television was as Maia Roberts in the Freeform series Shadowhunters, which she starred in from 2017 to 2019. After this, she starred in the Netflix series Raising Dion. She’ll star in the upcoming film Palmer co-starring Justin Timberlake.
