Biography:

Ruta Gedmintas was born on 23 August 1983 in Canterbury, Kent, England. Being interested in acting, she went on to train at the Drama Centre London. In 2005, she made her acting debut on the TV series Waking the Dead. She next appeared in an episode of Goldplated. Her first significant role was on The Innocence Project. She also portrayed Elizabeth Blount in three episodes of The Tudors.

She became known for her role as Rachel on the TV series Spooks: Code 9. Around the same time, she appeared in the films The Lost Samaritan, Miss Conception and Atletu. She continued her career in the 2010s beginning with a main role on the British series Lip Service. She next appeared on the TV series The Borgias. As of 2014, she stars on the US series The Strain. She also recently starred in the film A Street Cat Named Bob.
