Biography:

Pia Toscano was born on October 14, 1988 in Howard Beach, New York, U.S. She studied at the LaGuardia High School of the Performing Arts in New York City and graduated in 2006.

She came to prominence after she placed ninth on the tenth season of the reality television show American Idol. She was one of the frontrunners in the competition and her early departure in the show shocked the judges.

Following her elimination, she appeared in several talk shows including The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Today Show and The Ellen DeGeneres Show. She then released her debut single “This Time” on July 13, 2011.
