Peter Mullan is a Scottish actor. He’s been acting since the late 1980s. Later in 1990, he made his cinematic debut in the film The Big Man. His next role was in the film Riff Raff. Mullan then had roles in the movies Shallow Grave and Trainspotting. He played the role of Swanney “Mother Superior” in the latter. His performance in the 1998 film My Name Is Joe won him the Cannes Award for Best Actor. In the 2000s, he had roles in the movies Session 9, The Magdalene Sisters, Children of Men, and The Last Legion, to name a few. In the 2010s, he was praised for his performance as Matt Mitcham in the miniseries Top of the Lake. He then played Jacob Snell in Ozark and now stars as Michael in the sitcom Mum.
