Madeline Brewer was born on May 1, 1992 in Pitman, New Jersey, U.S.. Before venturing into acting, she joined beauty contests and won a local pageant title in 2010. Three years later, she got her break as an actress after landing the role of Tricia Miller in the critically acclaimed series Orange Is the New Black.

Being recognized on the show, this led her to further her career after being cast for the role of Miranda Cates in Hemlock Grove, a character she has been portraying since 2014. Around the same time, she appeared as a guest star Claudia Burke in the short-lived television series Stalker.
