Biography:

Jodie Whittaker was born on January 3, 1982 Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, England. She studied acting at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama where she graduated in 2005 receiving the gold medal for acting.

That same year, she made her professional acting debut in The Storm at the Shakespeare’s Globe. In 2006, she made her TV debut in The Afternoon Play. She then made her feature film debut with Venus, playing the role of Jessie.

For her performance, she received various nominations including the ALFS Award for British Newcomer of the Year. She has since starred in other films such as The Night Watch and Attack the Block.
