Fahadh Faasil is an Indian actor mainly known for his work in Malayalam cinema. In 2002, he made his first starring role in the film Kaiyethum Doorath. After a long hiatus, he starred in the 2009 film Kerala Cafe. For his performance, he won Best Supporting Actor at the Kerala State Film Awards. Later in 2011, he starred in the movie Chaappa Kurishu, gaining him wider recognition. He was then acclaimed for his role in the films 22 Female Kottayam and Diamond Necklace. His role in the former earned him his first Filmfare Award for Best Actor. He went on to star in the films Artist and North 24 Kaatham, cementing him to greater fame. He has since starred in the movies Bangalore Days and Thondimuthalum Driksakshiyu, among others.
