Biography:

Joey Lawrence was born on April 20, 1976 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, U.S. After graduating from Abington Friends School in Jenkintown, Pennsylvania in 1994, he attended University of Southern California.

He made his first television appearance in 1982 with an episode of the series Diff’rent Strokes and had his film debut with the 1985 feature Summer Rental.

He landed his first regular role on television after being cast as Joey Donovan in Gimme a Break!, which he played from 1983 to 1987. He went on to become known for his lead roles in such shows as Blossom, Brotherly Love, and Melissa & Joey, which he still plays up to present.
