Biography:

Sullivan Stapleton was born on 14 June 1977 in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. He took a theater course at the Sandringham Secondary College. He also trained at St. Martin’s Theater. He initially began his career at a young age, appearing on ads starting when he was 11. He made his screen debut on the 1994 TV movie Baby Bath Massacre. He next had a recurring role on the Australian show Blue Heelers.

He became more active in the 2000s, starring on the Australian darama The Secret Life of Us. He next had a recurring role on the show Satisfaction. In the beginning of the 2010s, he got his break as Sgt. Damien Scott on the American-British series Strike Back. This helped him to land the role of Kurt Weller on Blindspot. He’s also appeared/starred in the films Gangster Squad and 300: Rise of an Empire.
