Biography:

Sreelekha Mitra was born on August 30, 1971 in Kolkata, India. She made her acting debut in the Bengali movie Baba Keno Chakor. She has since starred in other Bengali movies such as Sankha Sindurer Dibbi and Tak Misti Jiban.

In 2003, she gained further recognition for her role as Ayesha in the Bengali feature Mondo Meyer Upakhyan, which was awarded the National Film Award for Best Feature Film.

Other films include Kantatar, Tolly Lights, Hello Kolkata, Houseful, Bhooter Bhobishyot, Aschorjo Prodip and Nirbhoya. She has also received commendations for her work such as the Anandalok Award and the BFJA Award.
