Biography:

Shay Mitchell was born on April 10, 1987 in Toronto, Canada. She began taking dance lessons at the age of five.

When an international modeling agency held a casting call in Vancouver for pre-teen and teen girls who were looking for representation, Mitchell was one of the girls who got in.

She first appeared in the Canadian teen drama series Degrassi: The Next Generation. She eventually booked numerous national commercials, including Pantene.

In 2009, she landed the role of Emily Fields in the hit series Pretty Little Liars. The following year, she appeared on the Disney XD series Aaron Stone as Irina Webber.
