Shailene Woodley was born on November 15, 1991 in Simi Valley, California. She moved to New York when she was 18 and worked as a sales associate at the American Apparel.

She became well known for her role as Amy Juergens in the series The Secret Life of the American Teenager and as George Clooney’s on-screen daughter in the acclaimed 2011 film The Descendants.

For her performance in The Descendants, she earned a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actress. She went on to achieve further fame for her performances in The Spectacular Now, Divergent and The Fault in Our Stars.
