Biography:

Samantha Barks was born on October 2, 1990 in Laxey, Isle of Man. She first came to prominence after placing third in the BBC talent show I’d Do Anything in 2008.

In 2012, she gained further recognition for her role as Zoe in the Disney Channel series Groove High. That same year, she made her film debut as Éponine in the film version of the musical Les Misérables.

For her performance, she received various awards such as the Empire Award for Best Female Newcomer. She recently starred in the 2013 feature film The Christmas Candle playing the role of Emily Barstow.
