Biography:

Rachel Brosnahan was born on April 2, 1990 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, U.S.. After high school, she attended NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts where she graduated in 2012. She initially made her debut in 2009 when she appeared as Lisa in the horror film The Unborn. In the next few years, she appeared in several television shows like The Good Wife and In Treatment.

In 2013, she appeared in the movie Beautiful Creatures. That same year, she began playing the role of Rachel Posner in House of Cards, which got her stardom and acclaim at the same time, receiving a Primetime Emmy Award nomination for Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series. She played the role for 17 episodes until in 2015. She currently stars as the lead role on the television series Manhattan, which she started playing in 2014.
