Biography:

Poppy Montgomery was born on June 15, 1975 in Sydney, Australia. She was only 15 when she decided she wanted to pursue stage acting, which made her dropped out from school. At age 18, she left for Florida and eventually went to Los Angeles to become an actress. Her career started in the 1990s with one-episode roles on TV with her first significant part in Relativity and The Beat.

In 2002, she got her big break after landing a main role on the TV series Without a Trace. She portrayed the role of Samantha Spade until 2009. While on the show, she simultaneously acted in a couple of TV movies, including Murder in the Hamptons. In 2011, she started playing the lead role of Carrie Wells on the TV series Unforgettable, a part she still plays up to present.
