Biography:

Perrie Edwards was born on July 10, 1993 in South Shields, Tyne and Wear, England. She auditioned as a solo artist for the reality TV show The X Factor but failed to be sent to the bootcamp.

However, along with other contestants who failed to proceed, she was given a second chance to compete with other girls as a group, thus the creation of Little Mix.

Their being put together was proven to be successful as they became the first group to win the competition. After winning, they went on secure a recording deal with Syco Records, releasing their debut single “Wings” on July 1, 2012.
