Biography:

Marissa Neitling was born on May 8, 1984 in Lake Oswego, Oregon, U.S.. She got her undergraduate degree from University of Oregon. She completed her masters from Yale. She began her acting career in 2007 when she had a minor role in the movie The Go-Getter. Her next acting stint came some years later. This was a guest appearance on the TV series Leverage.

She returned to television in 2014, this time more regularly. This was when she landed the role of Lt. Kara Foster on the TNT series The Last Ship. The show is currently in its third season and she’s still part of the main cast. In 2015, she played the role of Phoebe in the movie San Andreas. She will appear in the upcoming film Mysterious Ways.
