Biography:

Manisha Koirala was born on August 16, 1970 in Kathmandu, Nepal. She made her acting debut in a Nepalese film called Pheri Bhetaula in 1989.

In 1991, she made her film debut in the Hindi cinema with her role in Saudagar. It became a great start for her as the film became the top-grossing movie of that year.

She then starred in the 1995 film Bombay, for which she got her first Filmfare Critics Award for Best Actress. She also starred in the 1998 film Dil Se.., for which she received much acclaim and earned her a nomination for the Filmfare Award for Best Actress.
