Biography:

Lizzy Caplan was born on June 30, 1982 in Los Angeles, California. She attended Academy of Music, where at first she focused on playing the piano but later decided to pursue drama.

She started her acting career in 1999 when she had a minor role in the series Freaks and Geeks. She gained wider recognition when she played Janis Ian in the hit comedy film Mean Girls.

In 2008, she appeared in the film Cloverfield as Marlena Diamond. For her role, she was nominated for a Saturn Award for Best Supporting Actress.
