Leighton Meester was born on April 9, 1986 in Fort Worth, Texas. She joined in productions at a local playhouse as a kid and began working as a model when she and her mother moved to New York City.

In 1999, she had her television debut in Law & Order and landed her big role in Hangman’s Curse. In 2007, she was cast in Gossip Girl as Blair Waldorf, her performance being the most critically acclaimed.

In 2011, she starred in The Roommate and Monte Carlo. In addition to her acting career, she has also ventured into music.
