Biography:

Kevin Spacey was born on July 26, 1959 in South Orange, New Jersey, United States. His acting career started by performing on stage in the 1980s with his film career beginning in the mid 1980s. His major breakthrough came in 1995 for his notable performances in Seven and The Usual Suspects, the latter of which earned him an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor.

He then received further acclaim for playing Lester Burnham in 1999’s American Beauty, winning him an Academy Award for Best Actor. He has since starred in The Life of David Gale, Beyond the Sea, Pay It Forward and Superman Returns, in which he played Lex Luthor. Since 2013, he has been playing Frank Underwood on the television series House of Cards, earning him a Golden Globe for Best Actor in 2014, as well as Primetime Emmy nominations in 2013 and 2014.
