Karla Souza was born in 1986 in Mexico City, Distrito Federal, Mexico. She is known in Mexico as Karla Olivares Souza. She first came to prominence in 2009 when she starred in the television series Verano de amor.

She then went on to gain further recognition when she landed the substantial role of Bárbara Noble in the comedy film Nosotros los Nobles.

In the United States, she appeared as Lucy in the romantic comedy drama From Prada to Nada. Additionally, she starred as Jackie in the Mexican comedy drama movie Instructions Not Included.
