Biography:

Jorja Fox was born on July 7, 1968 in New York City, New York. Upon deciding she wanted to pursue acting professionally, she took classes at the Lee Strasberg Institute. She then entered the acting business in the late 1980s, making her film debut in the 1989 movie The Kill-Off.

Despite appearing in such films as Dead Funny, How to Make the Cruelest Month, Velocity Trap, and Forever Fabulous in the 1990s, it was on television that her career as an actress blossomed, first achieving stardom for her role as Dr. Maggie Doyle in ER (1996). It was, however, her role as Sara Sidle in the popular television series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation that made her a household name among television audiences.
