Biography:

Jon Bernthal was born on September 20, 1976 in Washington, D.C., United States. He made his acting debut on the television show Law & Order: Criminal Intent in 2002. Since then, he’s had a prolific career mostly on the small screen. His first recurring role was on CSI: Miami in 2005, while his first main role was on the short-lived series The Class from 2006 to 2007, then another short-lived show on Eastwick.

In the movies, he was first noticed for his roles in World Trade Center and Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian. In 2010, he appeared in the films The Ghost Writer and Date Night, before gaining international prominence for his role as Shane on The Walking Dead, which he played from seasons 1-2. With this, he landed more notable roles on the big screen, such as in The Wolf of Wall Street and Fury. He now stars as Frank Castle / Punisher on Daredevil.
