Biography:

Jet Li was born on April 26, 1963 in Beijing, China. He trained with Wushu coach Wu Bin and after training extensively for three years, he won his first national championship for the Beijing Wushu Team.

At age 19, he retired from Wushu and ventured into acting where he made his film debut with Shaolin Temple. He also became known for his role in the Once Upon A Time In China film series.

In 1998, he made his first Hollywood role in Lethal Weapon 4. Two years later, he won his first leading role in Romeo Must Die. He has since starred in other films like Kiss of the Dragon and Unleashed.
