Biography:

Jessica Capshaw was born on August 9, 1976 in Columbia, Missouri, USA. She is the daughter of actress and producer Kate Capshaw and the stepdaughter of director Steven Spielberg. She attended Brown University where she completed an English degree.

She went on to attend the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London. Her first television appearance was in ER. She followed this with a recurring role in Odd Man Out.

In 2001, she made her film debut with the slasher movie Valentine. She has since starred in other films Minority Report, View from the Top, and The Groomsmen. In 2009, she began playing the role of Dr. Arizona Robbins in Grey’s Anatomy, for which she earned further fame.
