Biography:

Cody Simpson was born on January 11, 1997 in Gold Coast, QLD, Australia. He was discovered by Grammy-nominated record producer Shawn Campbell after he recorded some of his performances on YouTube.

On May 15, 2010, he released his debut single “iYiYi” featuring American rapper Flo Rida. He then moved to Los Angeles with his family in June 2010 to record songs with Atlantic Records.

In December that year, he released an extended play, 4 U, containing five tracks. He went on to release his second extended play, Coast to Coast, on September 20, 2011. It peaked at Number 12 on Billboard 200 and sold 24,000 copies.
