Cierra Ramirez was born on March 9, 1995 in Houston, Texas, US. She made her first television debut as herself on Showtime at the Apollo in 2005. She was around 10 at this time. Afterwards, she had a supporting role in the low-budget film All In. She also made guest appearances on the TV shows CSI: Miami, Zoey 101, and Desperate Housewives.

In 2007, she had a recurring role as Jasmine on the Disney sitcom The Suite Life of Zack & Cody. She went on to star on the TV film Star and Stella Save the World. Her first notable role was as Kathy on The Secret Life of the American Teenager. This was in 2012. That same year, she played the lead in the movie Girl in Progress.
