Biography:

Christina Perri was born on August 19, 1986 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She shot to fame as a recording artist following the release of her debut single “Jar of Hearts”, which charted after it was featured in the reality show So You Think You Can Dance.

It went on to sell over three million copies in the US and was also a hit around the world. A few months after that, she released her EP called The Ocean Way Sessions. After gaining substantial attention since “Jar of Hearts”, she secured a recording deal with Atlantic Records.

She gained further fame when she wrote and recorded “A Thousand Years” for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn where it was included in the film’s soundtrack.
