Britney Spears was born on December 2, 1981 in McComb, Mississippi, USA. She attended dance classes as a child and excelled in gymnastics, winning many competitions.

At the age of 11, she tried out for The All New Mickey Mouse Club for the second time and eventually got in.

Her big break came when she was signed by Jive Records in 1997. Her first and second studio albums, …Baby One More Time and Oops!… I Did It Again became international successes.

She also branched out into films starring in her 2002 debut Crossroads and has appeared in a number of television series.
