Biography:

Becki Newton was born on July 4, 1978 in New Haven, Connecticut. She attended University of Pennsylvania where she finished a bachelor’s degree in European History.

She first appeared on television as the host of a variety show called Burly TV. In 2003, she landed a role in an episode of Cold Case. She has since appeared in other shows including Guiding Light, American Dreams and Charmed, among others.

In 2006, she gained wider recognition after being cast as Amanda Tanen in the comedy drama series Ugly Betty. She also starred in the films P.S. and August Rush.
