Ashley Slanina-Davies was born on December 18, 1989 in Standish, Greater Manchester, UK. She has three siblings. She began her career after being cast for the role of Amy Barnes in the British series Hollyoaks. Beginning to portray said role in 2005, she went on to receive widespread recognition for her performance on the show throughout the years.

She was a regular cast from 2005 to 2012, after her part was written out. Her character returned in 2013 and 2014, but only as a guest star. She has also reprised her role in the show’s spin-off Hollyoaks Later in 2008. In addition, she has appeared on the British television show Dancing on Ice.
