Biography:

Anu Choudhury was born on August 30, 1979 in Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India. She studied Home Science at R.D. Women’s College before venturing into film industry. Her career in Oriya film, however, began when she was a child, appearing in the movies Badhu Nirupama and Mamata Mage Mula.

Her first lead role was in the 1998 movie Maa Gojabyani. In 2000, she made her debut in Telugu cinema with the feature Subhavela and in 2004, starred in her first Bengali film, Surya.

She was then critically acclaimed for her performance in the 2007 Oriya film Dhauli Express. She recently starred in the Hindi movies, Nirvana 13 and Babloo Happy Hai.
