Biography:

Abhaas Mehta was born on January 10, 1988 in Mumbai, India. He attended the University of Pune where he studied law. He then decided to pursue acting and took classes with veteran actor Anupam Kher’s Acting School.

He subsequently landed a role in the television Bairi Piya on Colors, marking his television debut. This was followed by another appearance in the TV show Devi and laado on Colors.

He made his breakthrough for his portrayal of the villain Shyam in the television serial Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, which aired on Star Plus. For his performance, he received the “Favorite Dushaman Award” at the 2012 Star Parivaar Awards.
