Biography:

Aamir Khan was born on March 14, 1965 in Mumbai, India. He began his career as a child actor, appearing in the 1973 film Yaadon Ki Baaraat.

He then officially started acting professionally 11 years later, starring in the 1984 film Holi. In 1988, he had his first commercial success in the movie Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak, for which he received his first National Film Award as a Special Jury Award.

In 1996, he earned his first Filmfare Award for Best Actor for his work in the box-office hit Raja Hindustani. He further gained acclaim for his performance in the Oscar-nominated movie Lagaan.
